Illustrative learning scene

At a glance

Start with your child's needs, visit during a normal school day by arrangement, and ask every school the same questions. Keep written notes so you can compare what you actually learned.

Decide what matters to your family

Before visiting, write down your child's current class, the languages they are comfortable using and the parts of school they enjoy or find difficult. A young child starting Playgroup may need a different kind of settling-in support from a child changing schools in the middle years.

Choose a few priorities together: a manageable journey, clear communication with teachers, affordability, or the option of Hifz alongside academics. Use those priorities throughout your visits rather than deciding from a photograph or slogan alone.

Ask to understand an ordinary school day

Ask when lessons, breaks and dismissal take place. Find out who helps a child who is struggling with a lesson, how homework is explained and how parents can discuss progress. If the school allows a classroom visit, observe without interrupting lessons or photographing other children.

For a Hifz programme, ask separately about revision, new memorisation and academic subjects. A timetable is more useful than a general promise that everything will be covered.

Check the journey and pickup arrangements

Consider the journey from your own home in Faisalabad at the times your child would travel. Confirm the exact campus, entrance and dismissal time. Ask how the school checks who is authorised to collect a child and what parents should do if they are delayed.

Umul Madaris has Boys and Girls campuses. Confirm the appropriate campus with the office before visiting. The school does not provide its own transport, so families should plan their arrangements directly.

Compare the complete costs and current availability

Request the current fee details and ask which costs are separate, such as books or uniforms. Confirm the class being considered, required documents and whether registration is different from a confirmed admission. Do not rely on an old social media post for availability or fees.

All admissions at Umul Madaris are currently closed. The admissions page explains the next registration period and the January 2027 admission-fee waiver. Contact the office for the latest position before making arrangements.
